Natural features such as climate, vegetation, and ecosystem are the origin of creating diversity. At the same time, it is also natural to have movements of its/their own and exchanges between different species in order to balance lives and sustain together in the given environment or to settle in a new environmental condition.
In this session of Art of Being, participants will reflect and access each of our own and common ancestral origin vertically to the earth and the cosmos, synchronically with the coexistence, sagittally to the past and the future through the present, and possibly all in between. Topics will artistically and fluidly touch on biological, scientific, philosophical, historical, cultural and archeological matters and beyond to physically sense our origins and deeper moment of “now” through dance. The somatic, writing, drawing, and improvisational movement exercises will be shared and at the end, we will create and share dance, and conclude with dialogue.
Open to movers of all levels. Please wear easy-to-move clothes and bring your notebook and something to write. Participating as many as you can will be fun experiences, yet single drop ins are also welcome.
